1.

Will students have financing available?
Once a student has made the decision to enrol in one of the programs at Canadian Therapeutic College, they may wonder how they will be able to finance their educational choice. There are several options available for consideration, which our financial office will review with you.

What subjects should a student take in order to enter CTC's programs?
Many high schools today are offering an introduction to the bio-scientific studies.  This area of study would be appropriate for either the Massage Therapy or Sports Injury Therapy Programs. Introduction to Kinesiology, Anatomy, Physiology; or any of the health sciences are beneficial, as they provide the student with an understanding of the terminology and basic anatomy.  For the dental health programs the entry requirements require that a student has taken Mathematics - Grade 11 (C), (U) or (M) and Biology - Grade 11 (C) or (U) or Grade 12 (U) and Chemistry - Grade 11 (U) or Grade 12 (C) or (U).

3.

When should students apply?
We highly recommend that students start the application process as early as possible. This allows for organizing the documentation that is required, and setting a suitable time for an interview with our Director of Admissions.

4.

What can students do to prepare for the interview?
It is advisable that students spend some time doing research about their chosen field by speaking with a practitioner working in their career field of choice.   Find out what they do throughout the day.   Ask questions regarding both the good and bad aspects of such a career. Students should give thought to their motivation and suitability for their choice of career.

5.

Is there a deadline for applications?
No, however we encourage students to apply early. Providing an applicant meets the admission requirements of the college, acceptances are sent out on a first-come, first-served basis until classes are filled.

6.

If a student is not fluent in English what is required to apply?
When English is not the applicant's first language, we require either proof of grade 12 English, or a test may be taken through Canadian Therapeutic College to establish equivalency.

7.

Do students have to wait until they have all of the required documentation before applying?
No. They may send in the documentation as they acquire it. We will set up a file for each applicant and update it as we receive their documents.

8.

Do students have to submit transcripts from all academic training?
Yes. We prefer to see an applicant's academic background in its entirety, even when it includes an unrelated field. However, transcripts are not required in order to make an appointment for an interview. They can be presented upon your arrival for your interview.

9.

What happens after an application has been received?
Once an application has been received, we ask that the student   follow up with a phone call to arrange a suitable time for the interview. Telephone: 905-632-3200 or toll-free 1-877-278-8888.

10.

How long does it take before students know if they have been accepted?
Applicants can usually expect a written response within two weeks from their interview date. If more than two weeks have passed we ask that they call the Office of the Registrar at 905-632-3200.

11.

What will happen if a student fails the entrance tests?
The college will advise the student as to the possible options on how to meet the requirements. This may require upgrading of specific skills.

12.

May I apply for O.S.A.P. or any other financial aid while attending Canadian Therapeutic College?
Enrolled students may be eligible for assistance under the Ontario Student Assistance Program (O.S.A.P.). Other student financing programs may be found at the Bank of Montreal and other financial institutions.  Contact the Office of the Registrar at Canadian Therapeutic College for more student financing information.
