Students who graduate from the Massage Therapy and Sports Injury TherapyTM Programs are eligible to join the Canadian Sports Massage Therapy Association.  Students in SIT Program have an advantage in that SIT students meet all of the educational requirements for membership/certification by CSMTA

We are extremely proud to report that the students in our April 2005 graduating class who just finished writing their Objective Standardized Clinical Evaluation (OSCE) exams in April 2007, received a 100% pass rate.  Our 2006 Massage graduating class students achieved an 80% success rate for OSCE (practical) exam and 87% for the MCQ (written) exam.

We are confident that the OSCE preparatory and clinical decision making courses were in instrumental in helping our students succeed in these examinations.

Students enrolled in the Sports Injury Therapy Program at CTC are currently not eligible to become certified by the CATA.  However, CTC is in the process of completing an articulation agreement with Thompson Rivers University.  This would allow our students to receive credit for their learning at CTC and apply that credit towards a Bachelor of Health Science (Sports Injury Therapy) Degree.  CATA requires a degree as part of their application for membership/certification process.  The next step for CTC after completion of the articulation agreement would be to apply for accreditation of the Sports Injury TherapyTM  Program by the CATA.  This process has yet to begin.
