Financial Assistance

  Introduction

At Canadian Therapeutic College we understand that your education is one of the most important decisions you will make in your lifetime -- your education is an investment in YOUR future.

Once you have made the decision to enrol in one of the programs at Canadian Therapeutic College, you may wonder how you will be able to finance your educational choice. Our Director of Financial Aid will assist you by discussing various financial options.

Some of the financial assistance options you may want to consider are as follows:

Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP)

OSAP is a program based strictly on individual need. By taking into account the cost of the program itself, the student's contribution(s)towards their education, and any other assets that may be considered, the program clarifies for students their particular funding potential.

The criteria for applying for the Ontario Student Assistance Program (OSAP) requires each applicant to be:
a full-time student in an approved program of study, and
a resident in the province of Ontario.

The Office of the Registrar is responsible for Financial Aid and is available to answer any questions or concerns that students may have regarding the OSAP process. Once a student has been accepted into one of our programs the Director of Financial Aid will assist them with the OSAP application process should they wish to apply for funding.

Please note that there are grants within OSAP to assist you, which will be discussed with you in detail during your interview.  Once accepted, please call the Office of the Registrar to set up an appointment to complete your online OSAP application.

Student Line of Credit
Many financial institutions offer a student line of credit. The Bank of Montreal in Burlington (at 1505 Guelph Line), in particular, has been very helpful with assisting Canadian Therapeutic College students with financing.  Applications for a student line of credit through the Bank of Montreal are available at the Office of the Registrar.

For additional information regarding the BMO Student Line of credit visit their website at

Public Sponsorship

Public sponsorship is where the student's fees are to be paid by a sponsoring agency, such as:
Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB),
Department of Indian and Northern Affairs,
Ministry of Community and Social Services (Vocational Rehabilitation Services), and
Employment Insurance Benefits.

Since the application process varies within each agency, to find out more about public sponsorship please contact the agency involved and ask for more details.
