Admission Requirements

 

Program Eligibility:
Advanced Standing is granted based on a prior learning assessment and entrance examination results.  Prospective Students should possess a University Degree in one of the following areas: Kinesiology, Physical Education, Health, Human Science, Life Science, or Nursing.  Students who have trained at a University outside of Canada in areas such as Medicine, Nursing or Physical Therapy may also be eligible for Advanced Standing.

Admission Requirements:

Graduate from a Canadian University with a degree in one of the following subject areas:

Kinesiology
Physical Education
Health
Human Sciences
Live Science
Nursing
OR
Graduate from a Non-Canadian University with a degree in one of the following subject area:
Medicine
Nursing
Physical Therapy
Massage Therapy
   

Special Notes Regarding Prior Learning Assessment:

Advanced Standing will be granted based on a prior learning assessment which will involve a detailed examination of the curriculum from the applicants post-secondary institution.
Advanced Standing is either Granted or Not Granted. There is no partial credit given.
   

Applicants also require the following:

Transcript and Course Descriptions from the applicant’s post-secondary institution
Current (written) criminal background check from the applicant’s local Police department
Current Standard First Aid and CPR Level C certification
Proficiency in English Communication (Written and Oral)
Two letters of personal character reference
Completed Application Form and Fee
