athlete or sport and methods to
evaluate the success of the

Percent Attendance is Mandatory for
successful completion of this

participate in Clinic Placement.
Students gain practical experience
through working in a clinical
setting. The student registered in
the part time program may distribute
their hours as follows: 150 hours
from massage clinic and outreach,
130 hours from their employment, 120
Hours through observation and
participation in the student sports
injury clinic at the college. |

is delivered in two parts. EMER 107
is the Canadian Red Cross Emergency
Medical Responder Course. This
course meets the Paramedic
Association of Canada Occupational
Competencies Profile for an
Emergency Medical Responder. EMER
207 provides the student with sport
specific injury assessment skills.
This course builds on the knowledge
from EMER 107. |

laboratory components. |

knowledge of tissue behaviour and
needs, the effects of massage
therapy on body tissues and systems. |
