suite the needs of a particular
athlete or sport and methods to
evaluate the success of the
rehabilitation program. |

the student with the knowledge
needed to analyze complex body
movements utilizing basic principles
of physics. Students acquire the
ability to analyze static and
dynamic joint mechanics, aiding in
the student’s ability to develop
functional rehabilitation programs
for their athletes. |

Students registered in all Sports
Injury Therapy
TM
Programs must participate in Clinic
Placement. Students gain practical
experience through working in a
clinical setting. The student
registered in the part time program
may distribute their hours as
follows: 150 Hours from their
Massage Therapy Program, 130 Hours
from their employment, 120 Hours
through observation and
participation in the student clinic
at the college. |

Emergency Care
Available to students registered in
the Part-time Sports Injury Therapy
TM
program only, this course is
delivered in two parts. EMER 100 is
the Canadian Red Cross Emergency
Medical Responder Course. This
course meets the Paramedic
Association on Canada Occupational
Competencies Profile for an
Emergency medical Responder. This
course is delivered in a Weekend
Format over four weekends. EMER200
provides the student with sport
specific injury assessment skills.
This course builds on the knowledge
from EMER 100. This course is
delivered in regular part-time
format two evenings per week. |

therapeutic modalities. The
modalities covered include,

Stimulation, Micro-current,
Interferential Current,
Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve
Stimulation and LASER. |

Students are required to complete

include: Pre-event Sports Massage,
